Network Audio

The Network Audio system delivers in all situations. Under good network conditions the system just works, and also allows central control of playback channel and volume settings. Under poor network conditions the system can identifiy problem clients and provide centrally, information about;

  • exactly which clients are currently on-line, which audio channel they are receiving, and the playback volume settings
  • time-stamps when individual clients have connected, or when connections have been re-started
  • spot and averaged data rates being received by individual clients, and the amount of audio data currently buffered in a particular client

Case Study
Our customer had a requirement for the provision of in-store radio within a retail chain. They had already performed small trials with other IP distribution systems but had experienced issues with client units locking up (requiring local intervention), as well as undetermined network problems. Our customer then undertook a small trial of the Network Audio system and installed 50 client units in stores.
